The Flag
Amerindia flies the historic "Continental" flag, or Flag Of New England. This flag was chosen because it dates back to a time before many noble ideas and values became perverted. The flag also is intended to honor indigenous peoples - the original Amerindians - and their values.
This flag has had a number of forms, including varieties with the St. George's Cross, a plain white corner on a red field, the pine tree, and a globe. One version had a blue field.
Amerindia has chosen the simple version with the pine tree. The pine tree represents our respect for and understanding of our relation to nature, as did the original Ameridians. Many of their values are a good place to start when defining our new nation of Amerindia.
Amerindia National Symbol - The Red Tailed Hawk
Pale Male the Red Tailed Hawk of Central Park, NYC
The Nation of Amerindia abhorred the attempted eviction of Pale Male and his mate Lola from their nest home overlooking Central Park. We are delighted to see that Pale Male and Lola have been allowed to return to their former nest.
